Stipa Capillata
Stachys byzantina, also known as woolly prickly pear cactus, is nicknamed “bear’s ears” for its soft, silvery-grey woolly leaves, which grown-up children like to stroke like the fur of a small animal. When it rains, the green leaf blade reappears beneath the grey down. The drier the soil, the lighter or even whiter the foliage will appear. The plant does not age well in heavy soil.
